ICMQ is Moving!

  • The ICMQ is Moving! +

2019 will be a year of many changes for us!   The Temple of Peace and Virtue was able to fulfill a long standing dream and purchased 325 secluded acres in rural Bradyville, Tennesee, about an hour southeast of Nashville. It is a beautiful and secluded property that allows for direct contact with all the elemental forces. We are very excited about this transition and the possibilities that it will offer for our students.
We are hoping to move the Medical Qigong training facility to this new property in Tennessee for 2019.

In our programs, learning to become an medical qigong practitioner is an integrated step-by-step process. Each class, each internship, and each experience builds on one another. The training is designed to help you to evolve into a natural healer, while preparing you to work in an integrated health care delivery system.

Our curriculum is drawn from the knowledge gathered from several of the medical universities, institutes, hospitals, and clinics throughout the People's Republic of China. It is fashioned after the Medical Qigong College at the Hai Dian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Beijing, China. The Chinese Ministry of Health honored this curriculum in 2005 as meeting the Chinese standards for academic and clinical instruction. This was the first time a foreign Medical Qigong curriculum has been approved by the Chinese government (Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education), and its academic standards and clinical protocols formally accepted by a Traditional Chinese Medicine University.

Online Training

In today's world of instant gratification, it has become almost the norm to offer online training.  We do not feel that online training is appropriate for our subject matter and consequently we do not offer any of our qigong training online.

Medical Qigong is an energetic practice that requires highly experiential training. We simply do not feel that it can be authentically taught in any way except in person. Our training methods are designed to give you direct experiences of complex theories. Throughout all of our training programs we present the relevant theory, and then, while that theoretical framework is still fresh in your mind, we give you an opportunity to experience that theory with tangible or energetic experiences. There is no substitute for this experience.

  • You have a relaxed and comfortable teaching style that creates and environment that allows learning to become a creative dialogue.
    Dr. Denise Douglass White, DMQ
  • Dr. Shannon is very gifted at reading people and changing his approach to meet each person where they are at.
    Catherine White, MMQ, Dip ABT
  • You are patient, funny, and generous with what you teach. It is obvious that you really want your students to learn– and are not just presenting material.
